As part of NEA’s on-going enhancement of safety for GWC/PWCs’ vehicles, RELs will now be required to install a 360°camera system to give the driver a clear picture of any hazards whilst driving the REL truck, rendering refuse collection services.
From 1 Jan 2020, all new REL trucks registered by GWCs, shall be fitted with the 360° camera system, giving the driver a 360° view in the cabin, as he renders waste collection services. WMRAS will be the contact point for the provision. This is geared to ultimately reduce the number of incidents/accidents that involve RELs.
Solo is the only appointed vendor to provide this solution together with government grant.
